Owners of Lime Tree Lodge; Pauline and John welcome their guests with big hearts and have a charm that makes you feel like you have stepped into a country farm kitchen due to their warm and relaxed nature. Previous to purchasing the five star Wanaka luxury lodge the couple raised their boys on a 6,000-hectare farm, and the evidence of their previous life working the land is enriched throughout the lodge and in their hospitality style.
The grounds of Lime Tree Lodge are park-like and extend to panoramic dramatic mountain views offering a private space for a celebration. Stunning old world roses give the property a dramatic burst of colour over the summer months; making the garden a picture perfect garden wedding choice. In the winter months, roaring fires and dramatic views of snow-capped mountains create a warm cosy atmosphere evoking feelings of high romance.
  The lodge sleeps up to 12 guests with an exclusive use. A private suite slightly removed from the lodge provides a hideaway for getting ready for a big entrance and the perfect spot to retreat to after a night of celebrating. The grounds of the lodge offering a sporting challenge with a five-hole golf course and croquette. With a big wide expanse of lawns, there are ample of places to chill out the next day in the sun reflecting on the antics of the day before and soaking up the central Otago sun.  When it all gets too hot, a swim in the pool to cool off give the lodge its all in one facility.
For more adventures in the backcountry like fly fishing or heli-skiing, the lodge has a helipad. This is also a great advantage to have wedding photos taken in an off the beaten track location and then easily returned to a reception on the lawn. This is one of my favourite locations in Wanaka for its convenience of location and stunning backdrop. However, the biggest advantage of the lodge is by far its hosts who provide such a genuine relaxed experience.
